"Super tabou combo" was a band that started in the late 60's and later in the 70's the band became "les cougars de petionville".they propably used the name "tabou combo" to get some recognition because at that time the real "tabou combo" was on the rise. remember in 1969, Tabou combo won first prize in a televised talent contest, and started gaining a national reputation in Haiti since then.

Petion Jn-Claude created "super Tabou Combo" between 1969-1970. He propably used the name "tabou combo" because the real tabou combo was dissolved for a while after the departure of Albert chancy for Montreal and its members went to the United States. Early in 1971, however, an unexpected meeting led to a Tabou reunion with rhythm guitarist Jean-Claude Jean as the leader and the band has been together, with a few changes, ever since.
I dont know how "super Tabou combo" broke up.However, in the early 1970's Petion Jn-Claude formed "les cougars de petionville" and the musicians line-up were kinda different from super tabou-combo
